Oil Indicator Test
- If indicator does not illuminate with ignition on and engine not running, disconnect Tan wire from fuel pump/oil pressure switch. Connect jumper wire from Tan wire to ground. Oil indicator should illuminate with ignition on.
- If indicator fails to illuminate, check for open circuit in Tan wire and/or loose connections at IPC. If wiring and connections are okay, replace IPC. If indicator illuminates, replace fuel pump/oil pressure switch.
- If indicator remains on when engine is running above idle speed, ensure oil pressure is correct. If oil pressure is correct, disconnect Tan wire at fuel pump/oil pressure switch. If indicator illuminates, check for grounded Tan wire between bulb and fuel pump/oil pressure switch. If indicator does not illuminate, replace fuel pump/oil pressure switch.
