Bleeding Precautions

Before bleeding system, front and rear displacement cylinder pistons must be returned to the home (top-most) position. A Tech 2 scan tool is recommended to re-home displacement cylinder pistons. You can also home the cylinder pistons by going though initialization. See SYSTEM SELF-TEST (INITIALIZATION)  under OPERATION. Any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that are stored, must be cleared and system malfunctions repaired before attempting to perform brake bleeding procedures. The entire brake system should now be ready for bleeding. See BLEEDING PROCEDURES .
