Hazard Warning Switch Test

  1. Ensure HAZARD fuse is good. Ensure flasher is good. With hazard warning switch removed from instrument panel, ensure voltage exists at hazard warning switch wiring harness connector terminal No. 6 (White wire). If voltage does not exist, check repair open White wire circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If wiring circuit is okay, replace fuse and relay block No. 1. If voltage exists, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect hazard switch connector. Remove turn/hazard flasher. Using a DVOM, check for resistance in Green/Red wire between hazard warning switch connector terminal No. 5 and turn/flasher connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than one ohm, replace hazard warning switch. If resistance is more than one ohms, check and repair open Green/White wire circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If wiring circuit is okay, replace junction connector No. 2.
