Motor Test
- Turn ignition off. Connect Tech 2. Turn ignition on. Select SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, MANUAL CONTROL. Pump brake pedal until firm. Depress and hold pedal. RELEASE motor to be tested.
- Brake pedal should move smoothly to floor. As pedal moves, feedback current should momentarily drop to a few amps, then become 6 amps. Rough or jumpy movement indicates an intermittent electrical connection within the motor.
- With brake pedal at floor, apply same motor. Pedal should move smoothly back to top of its travel. Feedback current should momentarily drop to a few amps, then become 10 amps, indicating motor has reached top of its bore.
