Rectifier Test
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance, between each diode lead and upper/lower rectifier bodies. Perform STEP 1. See Fig 1
. Check resistance in both directions by reversing ohmmeter leads. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms in one direction and less than 5 ohms in the other direction. If resistance is not as specified, replace rectifier.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between diode trio leads. Perform STEP 2. See Fig 1
. Resistance should be greater than 5 ohms in one direction and less than 5 ohms in the other direction. Replace rectifier if resistance is not as specified.
