Transmitter Programming (Remote Keyless Entry Integrated Into Body Control Module)

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under instrument panel, right of steering column.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position
  3. To add or replace a RKE transmitter, use scan tool BODY CONTROL MODULE SPECIAL FUNCTIONS: ADD/REPLACE KEY FOB to place Body Control Module (BCM) into program mode. To program all RKE transmitters, use scan tool BODY CONTROL MODULE SPECIAL FUNCTIONS: CLEAR MEMORY/PROGRAM ALL FOBS to place BCM into program mode.
  4. BCM will confirm entry into program mode by sounding chime twice.
    5. NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected until all of RKE transmitters are programmed.
  5. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on one RKE transmitter for approximately 12 seconds. BCM will confirm programming of that RKE transmitter by sounding chime twice.
  6. If you are programming all of RKE transmitters, repeat previous step to program up to 4 RKE transmitters.
  7. If you would like to add another RKE transmitter, return to step  3.
  8. Remove scan tool.
  9. Exit vehicle. Attempt to lock/unlock doors to verify programming.
  10. Operate RKE transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
