Automatic Calibration

  1. Place DIC in COMPASS/TEMPERATURE mode. Depress and hold down both MODE and E/M buttons. Ignore variation zone, which displays after 5 seconds, and continue holding buttons. After ten seconds, DIC will acknowledge that calibration is requested by illuminating "C" indicator on compass display (if not already illuminated).
  2. To calibrate compass, drive vehicle through 2 circles at less than 5 mph in a magnetically clean area. DIC "C" indicator will disappear and DIC will display proper variation zone. See Figure .
