Remote Unlock Control Customization

  1. If vehicle is equipped with Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, enter feature customization mode. See ENTER FEATURE CUSTOMIZATION MODE  . Press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter. Count number of chimes to determine current mode (1 or 2). See REMOTE UNLOCK CONTROL CUSTOMIZATION MODE  table.

    (1) First press of transmitter UNLOCK button.
    (2) Second press (within 5 seconds) of transmitter UNLOCK button.
  2. To change mode, press UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter until desired mode is reached. Chime will sound number of times equivalent to mode. Chime indicator sequence will repeat after chime sounds for mode 2. Mode 2 is default mode.
  3. To exit and save current feature customization mode settings, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reinstall BCM PRGRM (10-amp) fuse. If unable to change modes, diagnose RKE system fault. See REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
