Rolling Code

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system uses rolling code technology. Rolling code technology prevents anyone from recording message sent from transmitter and using message in order to gain entry into vehicle. Term "rolling code" refers to way that RKE system sends and receives signals. Transmitter sends signals in a different order each time. Transmitter and RCDLR are synchronized to appropriate order. If a programmed transmitter sends a signal that is not in order that RCDLR expects, then transmitter is out of synchronization. This occurs after 256 presses of any transmitter button when it is out of range of vehicle.
