Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the I/P drivers knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The plastic retainer (1)
    • The left I/P outer air outlet duct (2)

  4. Remove the screw (2) which secures Junction Block #2 (1) and position aside in order to gain the necessary clearance to remove the left I/P outer air outlet.

  5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The screw
    • The left I/P outer air outlet (1)

  6. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver electrical connector.
  7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The remote control door lock retaining nut
    • The remote control door lock receiver (1) with the mounting bracket attached

  8. Depress the retaining tab and remove the mounting bracket from the receiver, if necessary.
