Installation Procedure

  1. Install the starter motor assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the lower mounting bolt.
  3. Install the upper mounting bolt and the negative battery cable. Tighten the starter motor assembly mounting bolts specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Connect the positive battery cable to the starter solenoid. Secure with one nut. Tighten the starter solenoid nut to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Connect the starter solenoid electrical connector.
  6. Install the air cleaner hose.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Tighten the negative battery cable-to-negative battery terminal retainer to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
