Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
  1. Coat the threads on the ECT sensor with sealer.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the ECT sensor into the cylinder head.

    Tighten:  Tighten the coolant temperature sensor to 17.5 N.m (13 lb ft)  .

  3. Connect the ECT sensor connector.
  4. Fill the cooling system.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
