Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor electrical connector (3).

  3. Loosen the air cleaner housing cover screws.
  4. Remove the air cleaner housing cover.
  5. Remove the air filter element.
  6. Inspect the air filter element for the following:
    • Dust
    • Dirt
    • Water
  7. Clean or replace the air filter element as required.
