Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
  2. WARNING:

    Refer to SIR Warning .

  3. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  4. Remove the left floor air outlet duct. Refer to Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side (LHD) .

  6. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) electrical connectors (1) from the BCM (2).
  7. Fig 2: Identifying BCM Upper & Lower Retaining Clips

    NOTE:

    Release the lower retaining clips (1), lift the BCM and unhook the upper retaining clip (2).

  8. Remove the BCM and the bracket assembly (3).
  9. Remove the BCM from the bracket.
