This PI was superseded to update Recommendation/Instructions.. Please discard PIC5978B.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
CORRECTION
This DTC can set in the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 (K114B) during normal vehicle servicing procedures such as clearing codes or connecting the 12 volt battery.
RECOMMENDATIONS / INSTRUCTIONS
Review stored data in GDS2 for the vehicle and locate the first time codes were read on this service visit. If the first code read includes P0606 from the HPCM2, follow normal service procedures.
If the P0606 was not set in the hands of the customer, follow these steps to clear the P0606 in the HPCM2:
- Close all doors and rear hatch
- Press and hold the power button to put the vehicle into service mode.
- Clear the DTC using GDS2
- Power off the vehicle, and
- Open and close the driver's door
- Wait 1 minute
- Start vehicle and ensure MIL is not illuminated
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
