Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electronic parking brake control module (1) from the support bracket.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the 2 front electronic parking brake control module bolts (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

    NOTE:

    Do not remove the electronic parking brake control module support bracket nuts. If the nuts are removed for any reason, discard and install new electronic parking brake control module support bracket nuts.

  3. Install the rear electronic parking brake control module bolts (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in)
  4. Connect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
    5. NOTE:

    When installing the parking brake actuator cable nut to the electronic park brake module spindle, hold the spindle housing securely to avoid distorting the housing.

  5. Connect the parking brake actuator cable spindle nut to the electronic parking brake control module. Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Cable Replacement .
  6. Install the rear suspension support. Refer to Rear Suspension Support Removal and Installation .
  7. Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .
  8. Program the electronic parking brake control module. Refer to Electronic Parking Brake Control Module Programming and Setup .
