Removal Procedure
- Disable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the rear suspension support. Refer to Rear Suspension Support Removal and Installation .
- Disconnect the parking brake actuator cable spindle nut from the electronic parking brake control module. Refer to Parking Brake Actuator Cable Replacement .
- Disconnect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
- Remove the rear electronic parking brake control module bolts (1).
- Remove the 2 front electronic parking brake control module bolts (1).
- Remove the electronic parking brake control module (1) from the support bracket.
NOTE:
Do not remove the electronic parking brake control module support bracket nuts. If the nuts are removed for any reason, discard and install new electronic parking brake control module support bracket nuts.
