Installation Procedure

  1. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement 
  2. Fig 1: Brake Pressure Modulator Valve, Bracket And Bolt

  3. Carefully install the brake pressure modulator valve (3) and the brake pressure modulator valve bracket (2) to the vehicle.
  4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  7. Connect Electrical Connector (1) @Electronic Brake Control Module (2)

    WARNING:

    Make sure brake pipes are correctly connected to brake pressure modulator valve. If brake pipes are switched by mistake, wheel lockup will occur and personal injury may result. The only two ways this condition can be detected are by using a Scan Tool or by doing an Antilock stop.

  9. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1) @Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)

    NOTE:

    Make sure, that the electronic brake control module is fully seated into the grommets after the brake pipes are tightened.

  11. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe (1) @Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (2) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)

    NOTE:

    Make sure, that the electronic brake control module is fully seated into the grommets after the brake pipes are tightened.

  13. Install Brake Pipe Fitting (1) @Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
  14. Install Brake Pipe Fitting (2) @Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (3) and tighten 32 N.m (24 lb ft)

  16. Install Radiator Surge Tank (1)
  17. Install Radiator Surge Tank Bracket Clip (2)
  18. Install Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Dash Upper Extension Panel Opening Cover Replacement
  19. Enable the high voltage system. High Voltage Enabling
  20. Program the electronic brake control module. Control Module References
  21. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
