| Cause | The EVAP line connection style changed, resulting in the need to modifying the tool CH-52519 |
CORRECTION
When Installing CH-52519 on corvette in location described in EVAP documents and Doc Id 5757934.
CH-52519 Needs to be modified or a commercially available low profile fuel line disconnect tool needs to be sourced, failure to do so will result in CH-52519 being non-removable from EVAP line.
Rib located at (1) needs to be modified following these precautions for CH-52519 to be removed from Corvette purge line.
NOTE:
Performing this modification voids the tool warranty for CH-52519
Read entire list before modifying tool
- Rib located at (1) needs to be Filed down
- Do not damage/cut/scratch area (2) when filing rib damage to section (2) will result in tool not sealing
- Do not file rib flush as damage to sealing surface may occur
- Leave smallest amount of rib material on tool without damaging sealing surface (2)
- File rib evenly paying close attention not to damage sealing surface (2)
NOTE:
This modification should not have any effect on how the tool works with other vehicles.
