Fuel Injectors

The fuel injectors are an electric solenoid powered and controlled by the SMEC. The SMEC determines when and how long the injector should operate. When an electric current is supplied to the injector, the armature and pintle move a short distance against a spring, opening a small orifice. Since fuel is under high pressure a fine spray is developed.
