Keyless Entry System: Operation

Pushing a releasing UNLOCK button once unlocks driver's door and enables illuminated entry. Pushing and releasing UNLOCK button twice within 5 seconds unlocks all doors.

When LOCK button is depressed, horn will sound, signaling that lock all door signal was received and set. Illuminated entry operation is canceled and all interior lights will fade out.

BCM retains Vehicle Access Codes (VAC) even when battery power is lost. Keyless entry module must have at least one and no more than 4 transmitters.

Transmitter control range is within approximately 23 feet (7 meters) of BCM. Transmitter is powered with a 3 volt battery. Expected battery life is 1-2 years.
