Controller Enable

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see wiring diagram.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove and replace Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Reconnect all connectors. Turn ignition on. If ABS warning light is not flashing, repair is complete. Perform TEST VER-1A. If ABS warning light is flashing, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, exit and re-enter diagnostics. When BENDIX is selected, CAB should automatically be enabled. If CAB is enabled, repair is complete. Perform TEST VER-1A. If CAB is not enabled, go to next step.
  3. Ensure correct CAB is installed in vehicle. Using scan tool, exit and re-enter diagnostics. Repair is complete. Perform TEST VER-1A.
