Power Draw Test

  1. Before beginning any test procedure, ensure battery is fully charged. Clean and tighten all electrical connections and terminals to ensure proper continuity and ground. Determine whether failure is mechanical or electrical.
  2. With wiring connected and dome light on, operate switches. Watch dome light for evidence of power draw by seat motor. If dome light dims, motor is jammed, indicating a power draw and a mechanical problem. Proceed to MOTOR TESTS. If there is no evidence of power draw, wiring and electrical problems are indicated. Proceed to CIRCUIT BREAKER TEST.
