Ignition Switch: Installation

Set shift lever to Park position. Install ignition switch connector(s), ensuring lock tabs are secure. Align park lock dowel and column lock flag before installing switch. See Fig 1.
Column lock flag is in proper position if flag is parallel to lower ignition switch terminals. Install ignition switch, ensuring park lock dowel enters into slot in slider linkage inside column housing. Install screws, and tighten to 17 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
