Interlock Switch

  1. Lock front wheels, apply parking brake and put shift lever in 5th gear. Adjust clutch pedal height. See CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT  . Ensure interlock switch clearance when clutch pedal is fully depressed is 0.14" (3.5 mm). See Fig 1 . Loosen lock nut and adjust as necessary.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between interlock switch connector terminals with clutch pedal fully depressed. Continuity should not exist. Check for continuity between switch connector terminals with clutch pedal fully released. Continuity should exist. If continuity is not as specified, repair wiring or replace interlock switch as necessary.
