Strut Assembly: Installation
NOTE:
Strut is available in various calibrations. Ensure proper strut calibration is used.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . DO NOT tighten control arm-to-spindle attaching bolt to full specification until vehicle is lowered to ground.
- When installing wheel mounting stud nuts, tighten in proper sequence until all nuts are to half specification. Then, repeat tightening sequence to full specified torque.
NOTE:
Check and adjust wheel alignment if required. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
