Trouble Shooting: Notes

Verify customer complaint. Check all system related fuses. Check components for visible damage. Check components for loose/poor connections, corrosion and backed-out terminals. Check battery condition and battery terminals. Ensure charging system is operating properly. Check for damaged wiring. Check ground connection. See GROUND DISTRIBUTION in appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL. Correct any obvious problems before continuing with testing. If no problems exist, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
