Removal & Installation

  1. The TCM is located in driver's front corner of vehicle, behind left front wheelwell, behind left front headlight. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove left front tire/wheel. Pull back inner wheelwell to access TCM. Loosen retaining bolt and remove TCM connector. Remove 3 bolts attaching TCM to vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten TCM retaining bolts to 30 INCH lbs. (3 N.m).
