Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutch: Flywheel: Removal

  1. Remove the clutch. See CLUTCH .
  2. Install Special Tool 9102 (1) Flywheel. Locking Tool.

  3. Remove and discard the flywheel bolts (1).

  4. Remove the flywheel spacer (2) and the flywheel (3).
  5. Inspect the flywheel for wear or cracking.
  6. Inspect the starter ring gear for wear and missing teeth.
