Battery HOLDDOWN: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable or remote negative battery post.
  2. On gasoline engine vehicles, remove the air cleaner housing (Refer to AIR CLEANER HOUSING ).
  3. On diesel engine equipped vehicles, remove the front passengers seat.
  4. Remove the battery hold down retaining bolt(s).
  5. Remove the battery hold down from the vehicle.
