Starter Motor: Removal

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove (Fig 1) and relocate (Fig 2) the upper radiator crossmember, (Refer to RADIATOR CROSSMEMBER ).

Remove the radiator fan module (Fig 3) (Refer to RADIATOR FAN ).

Remove the wiring harness clip from front mount.
Remove the coolant line clamp bolt (Fig 4).

Remove the upper nut from the front mount (Fig 5).

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt (Fig 6).

Remove the middle starter bolt (Fig 7).

Raise vehicle and support.
Remove the lower front mount nut (Fig 8).

Raise and support engine (Fig 9).

Remove the lower bracket bolt to transmission (Fig 10).

Remove the lower bracket bolt to engine block (Fig 11).

Relocate the front mount and bracket.
Disconnect the positive battery cable from starter
Disconnect the solenoid connector from starter.
Remove the lower starter bolt (Fig 12).

Remove starter from vehicle.
