Radiator, Engine Cooling: Removal: 3.6L

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
  3. Drain cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Remove upper radiator hose.
  5. Remove cooling fan assembly. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL .
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  7. Remove the lower engine cover.

  8. Remove lower radiator hose (1).
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .

  11. Remove the air deflectors (1).

    CAUTION:

    Bolts are installed with threadlocker. Use hand tools to remove the upper radiator mounting bolts.

  12. Remove bolts (3) and the upper radiator isolator (1).

  13. Remove the lower condenser mounting bolts.
  14. Remove the bolt (2) located between the cooler lines.
  15. Using a suitable hanger. Support the condenser and remove the right side upper mounting bolt.
  16. Separate condenser assembly from radiator.
  17. Tilt radiator toward engine and remove radiator from vehicle.
