Sensor, Camshaft Position: Description: Notes

The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (2) is mounted on the left upper timing cover. The Hall effect sensor supplies a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM uses the signals sent by the CMP and the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor to determine ignition and injection timing.
