Repair and Diagnosis: Transmission: Clutches: Bleeding
NOTE:
Bleed hydraulic system to remove air which entered when pipes were disconnected for repairs. Clutch/brake fluid in clutch/brake reservoir must be maintained at MIN level or higher during air bleeding.
- Attach a vinyl hose to bleeder plug. Place other end of vinyl tube in a glass container half-filled with brake fluid. Slowly pump clutch pedal several times.
- While pressing clutch pedal, loosen bleeder screw until fluid starts to run out. See Fig 1 . Close bleeder screw. Repeat until there are no air bubbles in fluid. Fill reservoir with brake fluid up to MAX level.
