(1) Deflection is with 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure applied midway between alternator and water pump pulley.
(2) After installing new belt, operate engine for at least 5 minutes and then recheck.
(3) New belt is referred to as a belt that has been in operation less than 5 minutes.
