Installation - 1.6L

  1. Install the sensor (Figure ).
  2. Install knock sensor (Figure ). Tighten knock sensor bolt to 22 N.m (195 in. lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance resulting in possible improper spark control. 
  3. Locate the electrical connector (Figure ).
  4. Connect the heretical connector (Figure ).
  5. Install the fuel rail cover (Figure ).
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
