Electrical Testing

  1. Disconnect connector at idle speed regulator. Supply battery voltage to terminal "4" (marked on regulator) of idle speed regulator.
  2. Start engine. Briefly ground terminal "5" (marked on regulator) of idle speed regulator. Valve should close and engine speed should drop.
  3. Briefly ground terminal "3" (marked on regulator) of idle speed regulator. Valve should open and engine speed should increase to above 2000 RPM.
