Engine Speed Sensor

Engine speed sensor is located on side of transmission converter housing. The sensor detects magnetized teeth as they pass during engine operation and sends an electrical signal to the ECU, which calculates engine speed and crankshaft angle. This signal is used to determine proper fuel injection and ignition timing. See Figure .
