Electronic Control Unit

The electronic control unit compares information received from the sensors with precalculated values in memory and outputs commands to the ignition control module based on the coordination of sensor input and engine requirements. The 4 input factors used to determine electronic spark advance are: coolant temperature, engine RPM, manifold air temperature and manifold absolute pressure.
