Engine Compression
- Ensure battery is completely charged and starter is in good operating condition. Clean spark plug recess with compressed air. Remove spark plugs. Secure throttle in wide open position.
- Connect compression gauge and rotate engine with starter 3 revolutions. Record compression pressure on third revolution. Test remaining cylinders. Lowest cylinder pressure should be at least 75% of the highest cylinder pressure.
