Engine Compression

  1. Ensure battery is completely charged and starter is in good operating condition. Clean spark plug recess with compressed air. Remove spark plugs. Secure throttle in wide open position.
  2. Connect compression gauge and rotate engine with starter 3 revolutions. Record compression pressure on third revolution. Test remaining cylinders. Lowest cylinder pressure should be at least 75% of the highest cylinder pressure.
