Engine Controls - Remove/Install/Overhaul: Carburetor: Removal
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain coolant. Remove air cleaner. Remove fuel tank cap to lower pressure in fuel system. Disconnect coolant, vacuum, fuel and vapor hoses from carburetor.
- Disconnect throttle cable and automatic transmission kickdown cable (if equipped). Disconnect electrical connectors. Remove carburetor mounting bolts. Remove carburetor.
CAUTION:
During disassembly, DO NOT disassemble the following components: Choke valve, choke shaft, automatic choke assembly, inner venturi, throttle valve, throttle shaft, or fuel inlet nipple.
