Headlight Doors: Description

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

All models use a 2 motor system. Pop-up motors are located beside headlight assembly and attached with actuator rod. See Figure . Headlight pop-up motors have manual override thumbwheel to open or close headlight doors if failure occurs. Remove rubber cover from top of each pop-up motor and turn thumbwheel to raise or lower headlight door. When no failure is present, headlight doors can be raised or lowered without headlights illuminating by activating headlight pop-up switch located on left side of dash.
