System Testing

  1. Check fan motor operation. See MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTING. If motor is okay, check for defective main fusible link to radiator fan relay. Fusible link is Pink 30-amp link, located near positive battery cable.
  2. If condenser fan does not operate, check fuse No. 5 for condenser fan motor relay. Fuse is located in relay box, located on left rear corner of engine compartment.
  3. If radiator and condenser fans operate in low speed only, ensure A/C clutch is engaging. If clutch does not engage, check A/C system resistor.
  4. Resistor is located above condenser fan. Disconnect 4-pin connector from resistor. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between Blue/Black and Black/White resistor wire terminals. Replace resistor if reading is not .26-.32 ohm.
