Generator - Turbo: Operation

When engine is started, charging voltage is applied to terminal "L" of generator, and charging system warning light is turned off. Battery voltage is monitored at voltage regulator. To control voltage output of generator, the voltage regulator switches current on and off to the rotor coil (field coil). Power is supplied to each load from terminal "B" of generator.
