Speedometer Test
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD), rear wheels must be properly raised and supported to prevent vehicle movement during testing.
CAUTION:
DO NOT
operate clutch suddenly or vary speed rapidly during testing.
Ensure tire pressure is correct. Position front wheels of vehicle on speedometer tester drum. Chock rear wheels. On FWD models, apply parking brake. On all models, attach a chain to rear tie-down holes located in rear of wheelwell. Ensure speedometer ranges are within specification. See SPEEDOMETER SPECIFICATIONS . If ranges are not as specified, replace speedometer.
