Engine Cooling System: Engine: Thermostat: Installation: Installation

CAUTION:

The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing, damage to the thermostat may occur.

Clean the mating surfaces on the engine block and thermostat housing.
Install new gasket seal (1) onto the thermostat housing.

Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.
Install the thermostat housing mounting bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

Install the heater supply hose (1).
Connect the temperature sensor wire harness connector (2).

Install the coolant recovery bottle return hose (2).
Install the lower radiator hose (3).
Install the oil cooler hose. Tightened the bolt (4) to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

Install the battery tray (1). Tightened the nut (3) and bolt (2) to 12 N.M (9 ft.lbs.).

Install the battery. Tightened the nut (3) to 7 N.M (62 in.lbs.).

Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Install the air intake (1).
Install the engine cover.
