Sensor, Coolant Temperature: Removal
WARNING:
Do not remove cylinder block drain plugs, pressure caps, or loosen radiator draincock with system hot and under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.
- Drain the cooling system.
- Disconnect the positive (1) and negative (2) battery cable.
- Remove the nut (3) for the battery hold down clamp and remove battery.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the air intake assembly.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor harness connector.
- Remove the temperature sensor (4) from the thermostat housing.
