Cooling System: Engine: Thermostat: Installation
CAUTION:
The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing, damage to the thermostat may occur.
- Clean the mating surfaces on the engine block and thermostat housing.
- Install new gasket seal (1) onto the thermostat housing.
- Install the engine coolant temperature sensor.
- Install the thermostat housing mounting bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 9 Nm (80 lbf-in).
- Install the heater supply hose (1).
- Connect the temperature sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Install the coolant recovery bottle return hose (2).
- Install the lower radiator hose (3).
- Install the oil cooler hose. Tightened the bolt (4) to 9 Nm (80 lbf-in).
- Install the battery tray (1). Tightened the nut (3) and bolt (2) to 12 Nm (9 lbf-ft).
- Install the battery. Tightened the nut (3) to 7 Nm (62 lbf-in).
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the air intake (1).
- Install the engine cover.
