Throttle Body: Removal
CAUTION:
Never have the ignition key in the ON position when checking the throttle body shaft for a binding condition. This may set DTC's.
- Remove the engine cover.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Unlock and disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC).
- Disengage the EVAP purge hose retaining clips (3) from the throttle body.
- Loosen the clamp (2) and remove the charge air cooler outlet hose from the throttle body.
- Remove one stud bolt (3), three bolts (2) and the throttle body (1) from the intake manifold.
- Check the condition of the throttle body-to-intake manifold seal (1). The seal can be reused if not damaged.
