Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the front bumper reinforcement. Refer to REINFORCEMENT, BUMPER, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. Disengage the automatic transmission oil pipes retaining clip (1).

  6. Remove the bolts (1a) from both sides of the lower duct (1b) and remove.

  7. Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (1).

  8. Disengage the engine cooling system supply pipe (1) from the retainers on the fan shroud.

  9. Support the radiator to the vehicle.
  10. Remove the bolt (1a) and both radiator support brackets (1b).

  11. Remove the bolts (1) securing the fan to the radiator.

  12. Release the upper clamp (1a) and release the upper retainer (1b).

  13. Lower the cooling fan (1) and remove.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Install the cooling fan and engage the retaining clips.
  2. Install and securely tighten the fan to the radiator bolts.
  3. Install the lower radiator support brackets and securely tighten the bolts.
  4. Engage the engine cooling system supply pipe to the retainers on the fan shroud.
  5. Connect the cooling fan wire harness connector.
  6. Install the lower duct and securely tighten the bolts.
  7. Engage the automatic transmission oil pipes retaining clip.
  8. Install the front bumper reinforcement. Refer to REINFORCEMENT, BUMPER, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
