Removal And Installation
REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the front bumper reinforcement. Refer to REINFORCEMENT, BUMPER, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Disengage the automatic transmission oil pipes retaining clip (1).
- Remove the bolts (1a) from both sides of the lower duct (1b) and remove.
- Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (1).
- Disengage the engine cooling system supply pipe (1) from the retainers on the fan shroud.
- Support the radiator to the vehicle.
- Remove the bolt (1a) and both radiator support brackets (1b).
- Remove the bolts (1) securing the fan to the radiator.
- Release the upper clamp (1a) and release the upper retainer (1b).
- Lower the cooling fan (1) and remove.
INSTALLATION
- Install the cooling fan and engage the retaining clips.
- Install and securely tighten the fan to the radiator bolts.
- Install the lower radiator support brackets and securely tighten the bolts.
- Engage the engine cooling system supply pipe to the retainers on the fan shroud.
- Connect the cooling fan wire harness connector.
- Install the lower duct and securely tighten the bolts.
- Engage the automatic transmission oil pipes retaining clip.
- Install the front bumper reinforcement. Refer to REINFORCEMENT, BUMPER, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
